Hi everyone,

I will go on an archive search but I'm wondering if anyone can offer any

help offhand. Sorry I have not been paying attention very much. We've had alot

of sickness and grief around here. MY Dad died a couple of weeks ago and I was

his medical advocate- had to make some icky decisions.

got back some bloodwork today (or should I say poop work) which

shows that she has a common parasite infection known as Blastocystis Hominis

(aka worms). The RX is for Flagyl or an alternate newer drug called Alinia- a 3

day regime whereas the flagyl is for a week. have any of you had experience with

Flagyl or eliminating parasites? I understand oil of oregano is an option also.

I've read of Flagyl being used alot on the Autism lists but I can't recall what

the success, side effects, downside etc results were.

Second has a B12 deficiency, most likely secondary to the parasitic

infection. Her B12 is 137; deficient range is 0-174. Anyone have any experience

with B12 shots for our kids? I'm thinking of taking her back to our

environmental allergist and getting preservative free B12 injections. Do I want

the methyl type or the other??

I'm sorry to have to rely on your brain power but mine has been totally useless

for some time now........(30 years???:-)

Thanks,

Sherry mom to 16, DS/ Autism
