Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been out of touch - work is keeping me too busy, but I occasionally skulk in the shadows here keeping up with what is going on with all of you. I just got an announcement today for a Trisomy 21 meeting at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia ( " CHOP " ) on Saturday March 12, 2005. It is intended for parents and providers, and it sounds fantastic. Two people I've never met, but who are often mentioned here will be at the meeting. Capone will be giving the keynote lecture on " Neurobehavioral Disorders and Medication Management in Children " , followed by Libby Kumin speaking of " Improving speech, Increasing communication - we have a lot to tell each other " . After lunch, there are breakout sessions with Capone leading one on ADD/ADHD. Pipan will also be there, doing breakout sessions on Autistic Spectrum disorder in children with trisomy 21: the Dual Diagnosis " as well as " Changing difficult behavior: positive behavioral support " . I can't find on CHOP's website the form I have to sign up (through the Friends of the Trisomy 21 Foundation, a group that sponsors a buddy walk each fall at Villanova to raise money for the Trisomy 21 center at CHOP). It sounds great, and I hope that those in the greater Philly area can make it - Donna??? I can forward the pdf to those who are interested - email me at shapirov@.... My best to all!
