<<He may never be a good reader but he will learn how to read. Don't give up.

We have so much new technology today anything is possible.>>

Hi, Everyone...Charlyne....Gareth can 'read' all the words up to 6th grade

level, but his comprehension is only 1st-2nd grade level. Do you know of any

programs that help for them to 'learn' comprehension? Maybe someone in your

area can come up with some helpful advice. I keep asking here 'what's the

problem and what can I do to help', but no one seems to have an answer. I do

know

that if Gareth can 'see' something (say a science exhibit for space) that he

will retain that knowledge and concept, but how do you do that for every day

reading material? I guess that is why our kids like videos so much, because

they

can 'see' and understand the story. Gail....we're making our usual

'quick' trip to NY tomorrow. Up to Ithaca tomorrow, Syracuse on Sat., and home

to

Pa. on Sunday. Will have both kids, both dogs and DH in tow, so will not be

able to stop much. Will give you a 'big hello' while passing through

Elmira!!! Take care, Everyone.

Margaret
