Guest guest
Hi, Everyone....a....Gareth's problem isn't a lack of sleep. He is usually down (very willingly) by 8:00 and is up and dressed (by himself) by 6:30. He has an hour to eat, brush his teeth, do his hair and shave, get his shoes and coat on. He JUST won't do it. He will sit on the couch and bang his Rangers together till 7....then, it's " come on....move. " We haven't allowed TV in the morning all year, either. Guess, I should take the PRs away in the morning, too. I'm tempted to call the psych and try to up his Risperdal at night....perhaps he will be in a better, more compliant mood in the morning. This isn't something new, either....it's just gotten progressively worse over the past month or so. Who knows!!! <<I am so relieved each morning when he gets out of the car.>> I felt this way today. Horrible isn't it?!?!? I sometimes think the OCD is worse than the autism!!! Man....he gets stuck in a loop and it takes forever to get him out of it. Sherry....you don't need to be sorry for adding your two cents worth on Melatonin!!! That's how we all learn here....from each other. Melatonin did nothing for Gareth, by the way. Benadryl is the only thing that works for him, but it does have the opposite affect on some kids. a and Charlyne....thanks....I needed to hear that it's not just me or Gareth. Take care, Everyone.
