Guest guest
<<Charlyne...this is Gareth every day!!! No matter what I am doing or what room I am in, he will come to find me and sit on the floor and wait for me to be finished in that room.... >> You guys are lucky!!!!! I would love for to be that attached (well, ok, I'm sure it must get old). When I walk in her room she says " bye bye bye " . Getting a kiss or a hug is taking your life in your hands. And this isn't some new teenage thing- she's NEVER been affectionate or attached. Sherry
Guest guest
Sherry I am going to have to say that it DOES get old. Especially if you are doing something, or want to watch even a 30 minute program on TV. Gavin makes sure where I am at least every 5-10 minutes. He tell me to " go please " and points to his room. When I go in he tells me to sit on one of his little chairs so he can entertain me with dance moves to Barney, sing to me at the top of his lungs, have me watch him play his video game, and you better believe I better be doing whatever he wants or he'll tell me " NO this. " The cuteness wears off after the first couple of hours! But of course the hugs and sound effects that go with them make it all worthwhile! Actually it sounds adorable...can you get this on video? Truly tho I understand the little tyrant thing- needs me constantly to do things for her ie " serve " her. But I don't get any entertainment in return. I'm going to have a little talk with her:-) Sherry
Guest guest
Sherry Let me know how the talk goes with . I may have to use that approach too. It really is cute, but man can it be grueling at times. I no more than sit down and I hear that pitter patter of feet coming down the hall, and I think " Oh no what now, can there be anything else I haven't done for you. " LOL When you said you " serve " her I got a chuckle. To this day at age 5, almost 6 he still refuses to pick up a fork or spoon and feed himself. I thought that it was a sensory thing, but now believe it is a " control " thing. I mean really... why feed yourself when you don't have to. Wonder where my servant is? You were talking about being choosy about what she wears. We live in Pa and it is so cold out today, freezing rain, etc. do you know Gavin will not put a coat on. Even when I manage to get him in it. We aren't even settled in the car and he has it off. What are we gonna do? We all really should write a book. If for nothing else it should brings smiles to peoples faces at how funny these kids are!
