If Oprah wanted to give a gift that keeps on giving she'd fund nanny's! >> Hi, Everyone....Joan...Gareth would RELISH in the idea of being on camera and on TV. He always wants me to take a video of him and send it in to AFV.....only problem is that we have never owned a video camera. Dan....what a VERY interesting article. I am afraid I am with the parents who feel that they need to help their kids, at least in some behaviors. If I had not decided to medicate Gareth, I really think he'd be brain damaged by now because of his headbanging. It was one thing to bang against the walls, steps, etc., but the tile floor scared me. I don't picture those autistic kids walking out the door on their own and causing the enormous heartbreak and panic that takes place till that child is found. Gareth popped screens out and danced on the porch roof. He ran off once and hid in the window well of our house....even pulled the plastic cover back over him so no one would find him. Another time, he hid in the neighbors back yard tree house. He was a Master Houdini by age 6 no matter what measures we took to keep him safe. I don't know.....just my two cents worth. Take care, Everyone. Margaret
