Guest guest
nathans never stay in very long, hes had seven sets, put in and ofcourse he doesnt have any in now they fall out soo fast for him, so we opted not to put more in for awahile.he did have one once fall through to the ear drum they had to remove and put new ones in and hes had a peferation for years but the doc doesnt want to fix until he is older, and its works as a tube also. Hes been doing pretty good an ear infection every few months but otherwise ok. now nicholas onthe other hand his have been in for over 3years now, he gotthem when he was 9 and is 12 now, and they stilll look good according to his doc. no ear infections at all, but he never had them beofre, just lots of drainage staying trapped in the middle ear interrupting his hearing and speech, was hard to catch as they didnt figure out what the deal was until he was 9 yrs old. shawna

My friend's daughter, who has autism, just had her tonsils out and while she was under they did blood work and clipped her nails. has had several sets of tubes. They have all come out on their own-I think. My memory is getting bad about these things. One left a large hole which compromised his hearing for a short time but later closed. My understanding is a small hole isn't a problem, actually works the same as a tube so is helpful. Good luck, Karyn
