I think this has to be the true meaning of the word " bittersweet " . How wonderful

that he is so independent and sure of himself.....and how sad for Mommy. boohoo.

I always like to think that we give them roots and wings. There is

always that little tug at the heart but know it is best and really

exciting. It is great Elie can call and tell you. Louise

growing up

Elie is on the move! Despite or inspite or maybe because of a really

tough

school year, Elie is making his own plans. He arranged with his mentor

to

spend a " hang out " w/e at his " friends " house. Elie Packed HIMSELF (I

had

to repack but still ), remembered his sleeping bag, an appropriate

transition object, and stayed dressed so he could leave. Called a few

minutes ago to tell me he wasn't coming home until dark time tomorrow.

I am a little sad, but only a ver little bit.
