Guest guest
<<very interesting, as you know my youngest nicholas just turned 12,>> Hi, Everyone....a...it was you that I thought about when I read it!!! But, I think there are a couple other kids on the digest that have DS and bipolar. I know that , Maureen's daughter, is DS/bipolar. <<I'm looking for some sort of school to home communication sheet that the teacher can fill in and tell ALL about his day.>> Jayne....I got tired years ago from not getting daily reports from school, so I went to Best Buy and bought the cheapest, smallest digital recorder. It cost $75 and I paid for it through his family driven funds as a " a need for communication for nonverbal child. " It's very basic and all the teacher/aide has to do is hit the record button and then stop. I get full reports of everything!!! I found that they have a lot more time to talk then write. They can talk in several messages during the whole day or just one long message at the end of school. I have it attached to a thick cord that goes around Gareth's neck to and from school. I doubt he wears it around his neck during school. After school. I listen and then erase the messages for that day. In the mornings, I send in a message as to how he is so far (slow, slower, or reverse motion!!!) and whatever else they need to know for the day. a and ....sure hope it's not a fluke and the meds keep working. I'm interested in that Aricep....keep us posted on it. ....welcome to the group. Let us know more about . Take care, Everyone.
