I just wanted to pop in here and share my story with fibro. I'll try to keep

this short and sweet but I do want to include what has really worked for me

personally.

My fibro pain started back in 2002. I had nerve tests, physical therapy,

blood tests, you name it. Absolutely nothing from my doctors as far as a

diagnosis for years. At one point I was put on a medicine called Neurontin that

made me a pretty nasty person to be around (mood changes) and I got hooked on

it. Took me three tries and a month on the bathroom floor puking and crapping

myself to get off of it (DT's). Love my husband for sticking it out with me! I

was a mess!

A few years later another doctor had me on anti-depressants, sleeping pills

and four kinds of pain medicine. Talk about being a walking pharmacy! I know

what its like to just lay in bed, hurt and just want to die. I know how

embarrassing it is to have to have your spouse bath you and wash your hair

because you just can't do it yourself. I know how crappy it is to have to use a

walker when you are 35 years old. I did it all. I wasn't depressed! I just

dang hurt!

I was lucky enough to meet an incredible person who is also a homeopath. This

lovely woman took me into her home and nursed me back to health. I was

projectile vomiting and about a month away from being on a feeding tube, 85 lbs

and slowly dying from those meds when I arrived at her lovely home. Lets see,

two weeks of detox from all of the meds (vomiting alot...everywhere...I mean

everywhere), two weeks of learning how to eat solid food again and then four

weeks of minor exercise and gaining weight back.

I'm on a strict diet now of " eating right for my blood type " and a ton of

supps and vits but they work! I've been able to go back to work, exercise,

camp, fish and generally just get around! My routine is specialized just for me

but I highly suggest that everyone get in touch with a homeopath and try to

address health issues that way. I am not a doctor, I am not a health

practitioner or a homeopath. I'm just suggesting that perhaps what helped me

might help you.

Yes I still hurt, yes I still have bowel problems sometimes and yes, it sucks.

But we can take our lives back. We may have this disease but it doesn't have

us!

My very best to each and all of us fighting this pain everyday. ~Rocky

P.S. If anyone needs someone to talk to, please call me. I'll call you right

back, my dime!
