Guest guest
<<Right now I sit at my desk ready for tears :-( Why would you not want to make your son's quality of life better or lengthen his life simply by changing his diet?? It is hard at first to get accustomed to cooking different. But there are many foods that you can buy in the regular store that the whole family can have. I'll tell you, it is a much healthier diet than we ate before.>> , thank you for writing this. I don't feel I have been around this group consistently enough to be as vehement as I feel about this issue, but I totally agree with you. I have also been considered a diet nazi at times so I have tried to temper my comments. Diet for CD has kept off all psychotropic meds, has improved sleep and I would NEVER change it for the world. You're so right....the foods available for GF now are so abundant; all the convenience foods one can imagine, all the substitutes for the old standbys. Our Health food store even has labels for all products displayed that are GF. It was not this simple at all in the past. I don't mean to scare anyone off of the SCDiet...that's a different more extreme story. Regular GF is totally doable these days. Guest guest
You know we had nathan tested but they just did a blood test and it was negative, but they never did any biopsies, and his little brother is also add/hd, learning disabilities, they thought he was autistic then just general anxiety and major depression and then last summer they dx him with bipolar and add/hd. I really found it interesting on a many different sites i checked after the celiac.com one they all discuss possible family hx of allergies and stuff and symptoms both my boys have some ranging form constipation to immunity problems and migraines concentration probs etc but the huge sentence was their sibing display learning disabilites so i am going to just try the gluten free diet for both my boys and see if i see any differences in their behaviors. Hubby will be the hardest to win over, our doctors are usually pretty ok with what i have in mind to try please many prayers that i can do this. shawna
