Re: video

Been biting my toungue for weeks - apologies in advance Lenny.I think we'd all definitely agree the young soldier is sincere and I respect his service, commitment and sacrifice also. However, it's not hard to see this very young man has been brainwashed - sold the idea that we're fighting for our freedom and for the freedom of the Iraqi people. Sorry, but that's just a bunch of crap. "The Iraqi people are just like us." Actually, they're not quite like us, any more. 1,255,026 Iraquies are now dead. And dead is distinctly different from us. "...freedom to prosper, freedom from tyranny, free to pass on a future". Dead doesn't pass on a future. 1,255,026 dead, yet this fine young man seriously tells us they're better off than they were in 2002. Tell that to all the moms left behind. "Our men died promoting freedom." Did they? Or did they die promoting the agenda of a few? There aren't many left today who will enlist voluntarily. That's a problem. Funny how this whole economy thing came along at just the right time. If food becomes just a little more expensive... gas prices a little more out of reach... the housing market, the banking industry a little worse... in-state college tuition unaffordable to more and more... But, there is a tax free $20,000 sign on bonus to those who agree to re-enlist after their first tour is up. "Our men died promoting freedom." Why did we only extend our "freedom" to the Iraqis? We seemed to have missed the other injustices in the world like, for instance, the slaughter in Darfur? Are Americans safer today? Did we catch the guys responsible for 911? It's not all bad news though. Our men died promoting freedom and the oil company's and the defense contractors are enjoying freedom, I mean record profits. > > >> > >> > >> > > > > > > > > Hi, My son Joe just did a commercial for McCain. > > >> > > Please pass this on.> > >> > > Thanks> > > Bob Cook> > >> > > > > >> > > <
