Guest guest
The staging for this interview, based only on this clip, displays media bias. The camera is aimed at her back to minimize her face and to focus on her body language. The camera is more pointed at Gibson's face, however which frowns and scowls as he fondles his glasses in reaction. Maybe the full interview isn't so staged hostile. Guest guest
You may be right here Lenny, but from what I have seen over the past 2 weeks is a love afair with Palin from the media (much like their love afair with Obama during the primary election---gotta love that SNL clip of them falling all over him to get him a pillow and make sure he is comfortable). The other night when she returned to Alaska it was " breaking news " when she landed on all 3 cable news networks (Fox, CNN and MSNBC) Since when is a plane landing for a VP candidate " breaking news " ??? When is it " breaking news " for a presidential candidate???? Guest guest
They've had the full frontal view on already tonight. Well you have to admit that a lot of people who are interested in her, regardless of their politics. There's a splashy novelty factor the media loves to feature. Here's a weird observation. I think her voice is remarkably similar to Clinton, the pitch and cadence even. Yes, I know that's about all that's similar. 's voice is a little softer, but it's close. Guest guest
I think it’s the accent- that midwest twang sounding thingamabob.......... > > You may be right here Lenny, but from what I have seen over the past > 2 weeks is a love afair with Palin from the media. Guest guest
I love that accent! I have a deep Bronx/Brooklyn thing going on and just hate it. Palin's voice is strong and meaningful, makes you really listen to what she has to say (even if I don't agree, I am listening!) Guest guest
Have to disagree with you there- it annoys the crap out of me. I find her to whine and be sarcastic- not genuine or passionate at all. - I love that accent! I have a deep Bronx/Brooklyn thing going on and just hate it. Guest guest
Oh no, I think she is definately genuine and passionate and believes in what she is saying. I may not agree AT ALL with what she is saying but she is a very good speaker, imho. I do not like the sarcasm either but aren't they ALL sarcastic to a degree? They have to be otherwise they are looked at as weak. As for the accent, I like anything outside of my NY thing--you know like Richmond from " Couwfee Tawk " .
