Guest guest
Happy New Year from Benedikte. Dear Friends: We've moved! We’re so proud of our new space that we’re inviting you to our Open House, January 25th, from 12:00p.m. - 4:00 p.m., so you can see firsthand all our programs and services. We now have dedicated areas to develop a neuroscience lab, a pediatric treatment center, an enhanced music studio, an expanded library, a music meditation studio, a video archiving lab and much more. Festivities for the day will include musical and educational demonstrations and discussions involving our music therapists, patients and experts in the field. Prof. Dorit Amir, D.A., CMT will deliver a keynote presentation on "Being a music therapist and a qualitative researcher –contradiction or completion?" at 1:00p.m. At 3:00p.m., music therapist Marlon Sobol will lead a “Drumming for Wellness†circle for the community. Prof. Dorit Amir, D.A., CMT has been the founder and the head of the music therapy M.A. program at Bar Ilan University in Israel, since 1982. She finished her Masters and Doctorate degrees in music therapy at NYU. We think this is a great opportunity for you to see how we’ve expanded our reach, our influence and how we are helping more and more people each year with music therapy through our Institute for Music and Neurologic Function. We’re still located at Beth Abraham at 612 Allerton Avenue, but are now on the second floor with four times the space. Please RSVP to the IMNF office, , or imnf@.... Sincerely, Benedikte B.
