Thanks Jennie, I'll give yahoo a go!

I'll let you know how I get on.

Advice please! I would like to make a web page for Ian's writing and for his fair trade shop.

Any free sites that would give me a head start?

Jennie: bowing... lol

I went with yahoo, they have a simple straight forward set up with clear explanation. We were quoted $1200 and $1000 and $500 by local folk to build one for us. We paid $112 for the year through yahoo. Cheaper than the local newspaper ads! Works for me. Someone else mentioned godaddy. If you look in the archives you should be able to find the posts where folks gave me advice and I know they listed some free sites as well. I just ended up going with yahoo because it was the first explanation that I actually understood. :-) I think it's because they had a visual walk through that worked for me. Oh and you don't have to do for the whole year... you can do a shorter stint of 3 months and pay less up front (more in the long run).

Good luck! It's really kind of fun once you get going!

Jennie
