Tara,

Another Cat lover to join in sympathy. Sixteen years

is a long time, and the two of you must have developed a great relationship.

How good that she died in her sleep, and in peace. The last

cat I had that died at home (the next one was euthanized by the Vet) just

simply disappeared tragically during the night. She had been

getting very sick, and I was planning to get her to the vet the following day,

but because she was dropping blood, I shut her into the back verandah for the

night. In the morning, she had gone. Went out the cat

door; and I never found any sign of her again. That was quite

heartbreaking, as I didn’t know if she just went off to the nearby hill,

or she found some spot to curl up under a nearby house or what. Left

me feeling terribly guilty for not having her in the house that night.

Mandy was also 16 I recall. A beautiful example of

a Chocolate point Siamese, and a most lovely nature. I did have her

companion left behind with me; and she was a very nice cat too.

Siamese/Tortie point named Tinkerbell. Usually known colloquially

as ‘Beast’. She also went to the ‘Big

Electric Blanket in the Sky’ a few years later, and though I shed some

tears over her, she was never as important to me as my dear Mandy.

(full Kennel name was Kuala Mandy)

I cant immediately recall you mentioning Phantom

before. What breed and colour was she? My present

furry companions are Balmin Felecia (known as Kittles) who is a Lilac Burmese;

and Nikita (known as Missy) who is a Silver Tabby/Siamese Cross.

Your pussy is at peace, and has been blessed with a

wonderful loving home. What more could a cat possibly

desire? I share a tear with you for her memory.

You’re quite right. You will never lose the special memories of

her.

Regards and my thoughts,

Ron.

Subject: My Beloved & Cherished Cat Phantom

Hi There,

Just a short note to let you know about my most beloved and cherished cat

Phantom. I may have written here earlier that Phantom has not been feeling well

for the last while. Shortly before Christmas, Phantom's health has been

deterioating quite rapidly to the point where she couldn't walk any longer.

On Tuesday December 23, 2008 between 3-8pm my cat Phantom died in her sleep. It

was a horrible time for me, especially when I found her lifeless body in the

kitchen. I must have cried for a very long time when I had realized what had

happened.

It was a terrible Christmas for me - the mood was quite subdued and I am still

in shock over the loss of my beloved cat.

Phantom was born on August 13, 1992 and died on Tuesday December 23, 2008. She

lived for 16 years, 4 months and 10 days. Phantom was very special to me and I

don't think I could ever forget my dear cat for as long as I live.
