Guest guest
Oh my goodness, more people interested in my stuff. Yes for some 40 odd years I’ve been putting together illustrated lectures on Art, History, Mythology, early Christianity and the Bible etc, which I offer to groups, Churches and Fraternal bodies. I can tell you more about my topics off-line if you like. Sadly no, I don’t have any site or whatever to cover my stuff. I don’t read the text of my lectures. I talk about the paintings off the cuff, following a ten minute, or quarter of an hour introductory talk about the themes and purposes of the following material. My subject is essentially Iconography, - the study of symbolism and subject matter in art. I’ve got thousands of images of Art works on my computer, plus thousands of slides in the old format; so theoretically I might be able to do loads and loads of talks. But these loads are strictly limited by the particular range of interests I have. Art history for Art history’s sake is not my line. Nor am I any conceiveable sort of Art Critic. The film I’ll be expounding on is one of Walt Disney’s greatest. And of course there are all sorts of depths in fairy tales! In regard to hugs and huggability. You are welcome. Consider yourself well and truly hugged. Perhaps for an Aspie, I am not so allergic to body contact such as hugging as many of our kind. After all when Acting on stage you have to do all sorts of things at various times that the non actor might find daunting. Perhaps the subject of Hugging might trigger off quite an interesting thread in the future. Must off to bed, Ron. From: aspires-relationships [mailto:aspires-relationships ] On Behalf Of Tempttea@... Perk! Now you're up My 's Alley. One of his most intense interests is Renaissance, art music, and of course Faire! It's a rather intense interest of mine as well, however, I don't believe any NT can match the intensity of an AS. We both enjoy film as well. I'm the buff in the family. Your lectures are always across the pond, yes? Do you have a site were we might see or read excerpts of any of them?
