Guest guest
Hi Angie; looks like you have quite a bit to deal with. Please remember that ALL treatments for fibromyalgia; whethor its guaifenesin or diet modification is experimental, and while most dont wok for people they all work for someone; if that makes sense. ;-) Some things you should DEFINITELY do; no question is clean up your diet; which at the very least means no soda, very limited sugar, lots of vegies and high quiliaty carbs like brown rice. Certain supplements are a must; like a good multi vitamin/mineral, antioxidant complex (high dose vitamin A, C, E, selenium, and I would defintiely say try magnesium malate if you havent yet for the fibro pain and stiffness. PLease give the guaifenesin a chance even if you feel horrible; some people get much better with it and if you feel worse at first this is the best indication that excess phosphates are a problem for you. Maybe try lowering the dose>? I have a website where I have some good links and have a journal of my own treatments. PLease come join a posting list at yahoogroups.com called CFSFMExperimental ; another good place for message boards is immunesupport.com http://geocities.com/joey2276 and of course talk to your doctor I can't legally give you medical advice here. Guest guest
First you say that all treatments are experimental and don't work for everyone, and then you say that they MUST clean up their diet. A bit contradictory, don't you think? :-) Just to provide a balanced view... it is not a " given " that one must clean up their diet. My diet has absolutely no impact on my condition, and people can spend a lot of energy trying to find the " perfect diet " to solve their problems.
