Guest guest
We at Kinections celebrated our 25th anniversary. It's hard to believe, but what started out as a general private practice has expanded to include what we call the three C's — clinical, courses, and creative discovery. To celebrate we had an open house on Sunday, November 8, one which turned out to be full of surprises. Our State Senator showed up with a "Certificate of Recognition," acknowledging our "innovative" work at the local, national, and international" levels and danced with us as we during our first experiential— a warm-up that got the participating guests to know each other and discover the differences between dancing with a steady beat and rhythm. The Senator suggested I join him in Albany, that his colleagues and the Governor needed dance/movement therapy during these especially difficult times. Our next surprise came from the Mayor of Rochester. A representative from the City's economic development office gave and me a plaque honoring Kinections' 25 years of service to the City of Rochester. He danced with us too. There were lots of other surprises, but one that I was totally unprepared for was the arrival of ABC's local affiliate. Kinections was on the 11:00 news for 35 seconds.More from Kinections and me another time.Dani _____________________________________________________le Fraenkel, Ph.D., BC-DMT, NCC, LCAT, LMHC, CGPDirector,Kinectionsat Imagine Square718 University AvenueRochester, NY 14607USATel: FAX: www.kinections.com __________________________________________________le Fraenkel, Ph.D., BC-DMT, NCC, LCAT, LMHC, CGPDirector,Kinectionsat Imagine Square718 University AvenueRochester, NY 14607USATel: FAX: www.kinections.com
