Guest guest
, I have what is called Treacher syndrome (mild....not as bad as what one might see on some of the websites.) Because it involves under development of the jaw and cheekbones....I've had quite a bit of dental work done (three sets of braces, extractions, root canals, caps, veneers), and always will. And yes, the vast majority are mercury. Because of the nature of the syndrome I was expecting TMJ, which oddly set in after the Fibro fatigue symptoms. I'm starting to request that all new fillings be mercury free, but I also have an assortment of titanium (which cannot be removed, coral paste, and solid silicone). Fibro is not common among folks with Treacher (even those who went through much more surgery than myself), but the trama and scar tissue certainly contributes to the level of myofacial and neck pain I experience. Both sides of my family have pre-disposition for Fibro symptoms. My maternal grandmother was prone to anemia, hypoglycemia, and low blood pressure, one of her sisters had a goiter. Funny thing, now I understand why she was into health food before it ever became " hip " ! On my father's side, they are all prone towards mild depressions (many frustrated artists), and I have one aunt formally diagnosed with Fibro, another with symptoms of it, and bad allergies, and one cousin with IBS. I suspected I was prone to it because I had pre-cursors (IBS, and mild hypoglycemia) but I didn't expect the way in which it manifested or how hellish it is. I have come off of three weeks of Cefzil 500 mgs because of an infection I couldn't get rid off. My doctor suspected that I may have had a low grade infection since I came down with full blown fibro since it started with a bad sinus infection. I'm feeling a bit like Job. When do I get a chance at a normal life? I fell off my yeast free diet during Passover (try eating yeast free at a seder!), but I am back on it. I does seem to help. Taking lots of supplements, probiotics, and my throid med. I'm just so tired after taking the strong antibiotic and all this RAIN that it's hard to tell if anything is happening. Friday I see my accupuncturist Greta, who has been a godsend. -Ann Washington, DC Message: 4 Date: Tue, 13 Apr 2004 08:18:55 -0500 Subject: Re: Digest Number 1267 With your facial reconstructive surgery did you have dental work done?
