Guest guest
Carol I am new, and would like to know what kind of diet, do use do. What are the big no no's and what do you eat? It is hard to try and get this done. I have the Maker's Diet book, is that the good one to use. I also have the NOurshing traditions book. I like to cook so it is hard to stay away from certain foods. Do you notice a difference when you eat a certain way. Thanks Debbie

I'm on the strict HG Diet in Dr. St. Amand's book " What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Fibromyalgia " available in paperback in most book stores and thru Amazon.com for about $14.95. It's basically a very low carb/low sugar diet. It's healthy...you eat most meats, poultry and seafood...veggies...and some fruits and nuts. You can have cheese, as long as it's the kind you slice...in other words, no processed cheese like Velveeta. I've also found I'm very intolerant of chocolate and can't eat it at all anymore. Yes, it makes a huge difference for me when I go off the diet. The fibro. pain is much worse, I'm tired all the time, etc. Not everyone with Fibro. needs to be on the diet, but if you need to lose weight and a lot who don't benefit from it because of how much better they feel and the pain is less. Hope this helps, Debbie! I'm not familiar with either of the books you've mentioned. This diet works for me, and I'm losing weight. I lost 15 lbs. the first 2 weeks and steadily continuing...less than that, but still losing. Have a great day...I'll be happy to help you in any way I can! Blessings, Carol
