Guest guest
Good Monday morning to all! I hope all of you survived the long weekend and had a great time with tolerable Fibro. pain. Welcome to all the new members of this Board, and hope you'll all feel very comfortable with posting often! It's a cloudy, misty, dreary day here in NC...but I suppose that's better than the icy weather in parts of the country this morning! As the regulars on this Board already know, though, I'd PAY for snow anytime! LOL It looks like we may have to wait for Christmas break in TN to see that! I have a couple of tips for those new to the Guaifenesin protocol this morning. I've had several write to me thru e-mail and ask about body lotion. I found out the body lotion I'd been using for a long time before being diagnosed with Fibro., is okay to use...and it's cheap and available at Walmart and most all drug stores and grocery stores. It's Jergen's " Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer with Moisture-retaining Lipids. " It feels good on your skin...especially good for the very dry, hard edges of heels like I get. I use it at least morning and night and once in between, if I remember! For hand soap, I use Dial original formula Anti-Bacterial Soap (it's in a clear pump bottle and gold in color). I carry a small bottle of this in my purse, since we travel a lot...and I don't want to use Sal. containing soaps in public restrooms! Just make sure the Dial is not the type that says it has aloe or anything else...just the original formula. I'll be happy to help anyone on the Guaifenesin protocol who has questions. I have a large network of Fibro. friends on Guaifenesin, and a lot of them are nurses. If you need a doctor in your area who is familiar with the Guaifenesin protocol, I can help you with that, too. Everyone is different, but I'm one of the lucky ones...the protocol is working for me, and I'm getting better all the time and the pain is reversing! I'm also on the strict Hypoglycemic Diet. Not everyone needs to be on the diet, nor does it help them, but I've found it really does help my Fibro. pain be less when i stick to the diet. We've been living in a hotel room for about 10-1/2 months of this year with a microwave and fridge...but since we eat out most of the time, it makes it a little hard to stick to the strict HG diet...but it is possible with a little imagination! LOL This is getting long, so I'll stop for now. I wish each of you a peaceful, wonderful Monday! Life is good, and we need to share that with each other! Blessings,Carol
