US News & World Report: Thimerosal in vaccines until 2003

It is nice to see a

US publication get this correct for once:

“Since one

theory is that autism can be caused by exposure to mercury, a toxic metal that

was used until 2003 as a preservative in early childhood vaccines, it makes sense

to think chelation might help.”

Also, this is a

fairly interested and well researched piece on recent autism news, from the

Kirby talked about this study at his presentation. Apparently the

rats which had no metal burden and were chelated did not receive the

standard replacement minerals that a child would in treatment which

could account for the rats' impairment.
