Guest guest
e, I have heard of the picture symbols system and am looking into it. Before knowing there was an actual science too it, I had made photographs of 'key' things that does, and put the word with the sign language illustration next to it. They are around the house at his visual level. I had hoped that he would begin to recognize the image with the 'want' and let us know by pointing to the picture. He doesn't do it at all. These are very basic images (banana, popsicle, drink, eat, shoes, socks, etc.). Perhaps it takes a long, long time, but they have been up for several months and we have had no luck. My au pair and I try to verbalize and signal them daily with him, to no avail. - -----Original Message-----From: Multiples-DS [mailto:Multiples-DS ] On Behalf Of kristine drumSent: Tuesday, July 19, 2005 10:24 AMTo: Multiples-DS Subject: Re: Digest Number 1887Have you tried using picture symbols to add to thesigns he already knows.
