Guest guest
This is terrible! From what I’ve seen online, Craig Fitzhugh is furious over this, saying it wasn’t by his people and there is supposedly an investigation going on now. How horrible… whether it was his camp, or if it was, as he contends, his enemies setting him up… totally unacceptable behavior. I am pretty disgusted with how low politicians can stoop… but, I tend to believe this guy didn’t sanction this ad! I want to believe that nobody could do this and think it was “acceptable!” Betty Re: checking in has anyone seen the ad by Tennessee state senator craig fitzhugh mocking special olympics? it's disgraceful. there is a picture of a child competing in the special olympics with a picture of george bush's head superimposed on the child. it reads something like this a vote for george bush is like winning in the special olympics you might win but your still retarded. these are being handed out in tennessee. i saw it on the drudge report. if you go to the archives you can access it. just needed to vent about it julie mom to taylor 10, james ds4, brittany 4, alley 4 Multiples-DS http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Multiples-DS Multiples-DS http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Multiples-DS

Guest guest
Hi Everyone . . . Just checking in here - Welcome to all the new members and congratulations to the Blackwood family for the birth of their twins (and anyone else I forgot)! My name is Qadoshyah (pronounced, Ka-Dosh-ah). I am the oldest of 11 kids and the youngest two are twins. They are boy/girl twins and the boy has DS. They are a 6 months old tomorrow, can't belive how fast time flys! Wow! They were born in Feb. My brother is such a blessing, I can't even explain it, I'm so grateful to have him (and his sister of course!) Qadoshyah
Guest guest
Hi, Just checking in! Sara is also in summer school. Today is her last day, after three weeks, three hours a day, four days a week. She has continued horseback riding lessons through the summer and was in a Draft horse show, to represent Healing Reins, her riding school. Her horse acted up when he saw a flag being unrolled, so the volunteers went into action and got her off the horse who was bucking and out of control. The volunteers did a great job; however, it has set Sara back a little (I don't blame her), so she does not want to ride independently, now, which she was doing before the incident. Her instructor feels with time, she will regain her confidence. Otherwise, she has watched too much t.v. this summer and I, too, will be thankful when school begins August 30th here in Sisters, Oregon. She will be in 4th grade and her twin brother, will be in 5th, who is playing competitive soccer, this summer, with tournaments out of town and Lucas, their older brother, will be a freshman and begins daily double football practice in a week. Take care, everyone and enjoy the rest of the summer. Marcia
Guest guest
Gail from New Jersey checking in! Tara is still in ESY until next week. All 4 of my kids will go back to school Friday, Sept 2. I believe my district wants to sneak this first day in , because the winters can get bad here in northern NJ. Tara was in a private school for the last two years. She will be starting in our public school as a Kindergartener, , her twin brother will be in 1st grade. I felt that starting a new school, teachers, children and in an inclusive Kindergarten, she'd be better off repeating the academics from last year as she gets use to new surroundings. Tara is on the short side, so for many reasons, felt this as a good move. Tara is swimming with an instructor twice a week, my two boys are playing football and my other daughter is playing soccer!! Can't wait for Sept. 2nd!!!! Gail Mom to Bobby 11, Jillian 9, & Tara
