Guest guest
A bit intro on .. she is 11yrs old. She is the oldest of the three kids. Yes she has Down Syndrome too. She is my reader in the bunch. She loves books, pens, and paper to write all the time. She figured out recently how to get on her computer open word pad and she will type in the whole book and say LOOK MOM,Read my book! Really neat.. she sits there for 30mins typing and she deletes it all! We are always in a hurry to save, so we do not have to retype! Yet it does not matter to her. Back late Dec, after Christmas... we took her for some blood work. I wanted it done...called the ped asked for a complete work up. She been pale and tired lately.. Seems to increase. Well got her results and she has high cholesterol and her THS was up... yet the T3 and T4 where normal. I put a call in to my ped questioning this.. he has yet to see the results. I was mad but got over it.. I called the endro, that sees and explained my situation and got in last week. Well confirmed, does have hypothyroidism. Along with high Cholestrol. She hoping with the start of snythroid, might bring the cholestrol down. Also, we found out the other signs where the dry skin, the dry patches in her hair..that our ped was telling us it was proises(sp). She said she was shocked we where not overweight and I total blame that on the adderall XR given her no appetti. Other than a few days of scare waiting on the first set of labs..I am still shock on the ending... but least it is a simple fix for now! Oh... another note... since she had her 2nd Fundo, she not been able to swallow a pill.. Last week.. she back to swallowing a pill AMAZING!!! I love it!!!! Makes life a little easier! , mom to 11yr,Dayton 6yr, and 2 1/2 yr.. all happen to have Down Syndrome.
