AND IT DOES WORK FOR EVERYONE IT AINT WORKING FOR YOUR SISTER IN LAW COS OF THE ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING BELOW Dr. St. Amand writes the following regarding the Guai protocol success rate. We have been asked about our statement that " 90% of patients are helped by Guaifenesin " . The query is, what happens to the other 10%? We tried to be conservative with 90%. Our problem is that many of the so-called non-responders have one of three problems. l. They are inadvertently blocking. We see that all the time even among our well established patients who suddenly reverse their former improvement. We almost invariably find something they are doing wrong. We don't know how to teach proper salicylate searching any better than we are doing. The manufacturers are quick to change but there are other patient errors as well. Many people have great difficulty identifying a botanical. As always tells our patients: think mineral and animal -- they are OK. Avoid vegetable if it is to be applied to the skin. 2. Insufficient dosage is another problem. 3. Too rapid an increase in dosage. Patients speed right by their required amounts and thereby greatly accelerate purging. For those who have had FM for many years, this assures that they will have no good days for a very long time so constant is the reversal process proceeding. Thus, they think they are not getting better when all of the time they are in steady improvement but beset with pains. Mapping solves all of this since we can quickly spot progress vs no progress. Many patients think they are no better until we show them their map. They then often state that such and such a symptom or pain has indeed disappeared. We all tend to focus on what remains and not on what has cleared. Remember, there are fast responders and very slow ones. Genetic traits, duration of the diseases dictate speed of reversal. Very slow responders can't remember how much worse they were in the beginning. I hope this helps. I think we are bating closer to 98% with our locals who I can keep my hands on! R.
