I haven't had a chance to read all the emails from the last couple days,

but wanted to ask for your prayers.

has to go in for surgery this Friday. The lead wire to her Atria is

breaking and they need to replace the wire. Her battery is due to be

replaced as well. If you remember, the wire to her Ventricles broke two

years ago in May. Her Atria have always worked, so it's not as critical,

but of course it means the wire is again defective. Two defective wires

in one child! You can imagine how shocked, upset and frustrated we are.

Won't know what time surgery is on Friday until maybe later tonight. Doc

is supposed to call me at home after 5 pm today. Surgeon is having

family issues, so if he can't do Friday at the Hosp. we want, I'll have

them refer us to another. I won't let this wait until Monday of course.

I'm making my parents come into town on Friday which is just a few days

earlier than planned so that's ok.

B-day plans for next week will be put on hold. spent her 1st b-day

in the hosp and I hope she doesn't have to spend her second there.

Kay,

We will keep , you and your family in our prayers.

To all the new members welcome to the list. My name is Mabel Comas, mom to Carolina, Cristian and a-ds, they just turned five yesterday. I am one of the quite moms in this list, a is very healthy since birth, never had to ask for advice in those matters but also learned a lot on health issues. I do remember reading posting about when to expect them to walk, talk, potty trainned and many more, it really gaves me so many ideas. I smile, enjoy and celebrate when someone posted good news about their kids doing something new and I cry when something sad came up. Plus, like other parents I thought I was the only one on planet earth having triplets and one with Down syndrome. This list gave me so many hints on how to be prepare when Gaby started in school and is been an excellent resource on knowing those things. I like the way Gail manage school things for Tara. Love the way Marcia always talks, so peaceful. I keep with me that posting on speech ideas Zue shared once just in case I need it, print every nice story Judi shares and show everybody. And I like everybody's wisdom, experience, it really helps me a lot on what to expect in the future for Gaby and for us.

Happy belated birthday for Tara and . And for , atan and , who will be 5 soon. Happy birthday and God bless you all.

Everybody have a nice dayMabel, mom to Carolina, Cristian and a-ds
