I was on HRT

for thirteen years. Had a massive tumour (benign) at 27 and had to have a

hysterectomy. So I began to go through menopause at 30.

With the HRT

scare, I went off it – I wasn’t happy being on it to start with.

When I stopped, all the symptoms returned, and I was so ill at the time I couldn’t

cope, so I sought out natural treatments. I’m sure I’ve

mentioned this before – the one I use is called Promensil and is

available across the counter from chemists. I saw that the supermarket

had it too, when I was there last week, but about ten dollars more for a three

month pack. You’d need to shop around. It takes two or three weeks

to kick in.

I find it

relieves all the symptoms, but some people have to try a few different brands

before they find a suitable one. In fact, I find Promensil works better

for me than the HRT did. (it has lots of ginger in it.)

My mantra is

that if I can use a natural alternative I will. Why pump more chemicals

into our bodies that we need to?

Subject: HRT

June I have just gone off HRT---as I

was allergic to the PILL they put me on the safest one which was OGEN &

PROVERA --I had no problems with it in the 5 yrs---i didnt ever want to go on

it but really some women cannot get through menopause without it and a lot of

the scare stuff about breat cancer was beat up ---I looked into this very

seriously as they were saying it caused brest cancer --heart disease etc---I

got all the stats and looked at them ---if you are overweight --have a family

history of breast cancer --smoke cigarettes --are over 65 then the risks are

increased---in my case no history of cancer --i'm not o'weight --dont smoke so

in a period of not more than 5 years the risks are NOT increased --you can get

the research they did --in actual fact those that did develop the problems were

quite old--o'weight and i cant quite remember many of them were smokers---if

you need it it may change your life ---my endochronologist stated that some

women cannot get through menopause without it ---also i think if you really

need it I wouldnt be analysing it too closely especially if it is helpful with

your asthma--cheers Del
