Hi Sara and and all who have posted that we have not heard from in a long time.

It's great to hear from all of you. Thanks, , for saying so profoundly what you wrote about Sara--I agree 100%. I have shared her story with many of my daughter, Sara's, supporters and have missed her presence in our group. I, too, hope you offer more than technical assistance--your advice, wisdom and knowledge, have been invaluable.

For those who are new to our group. I am Marcia, Mom to twins, Sara (DS) and 9 and Lucas 13. Sara is in 2nd grade, in 3rd grade. Sara is included in a 2nd grade class in a public school in a small community in Oregon. She has pullout for Math, Reading and Writing. She has been healthy, other than her upper respiratory issues (sinus). She had sinus surgery a year and a half ago, and that has helped some, although, she is now on a round of antibiotics for a current sinus infection. I have recently become involved with a team of three others called the Oregon Parent Training Information Network. We will be giving power point presentations to parents, teachers and whoever is interested on various topics, ranging from IEP's to Communication Skills. I think it will be a great way for me to become more educated. On April 1, I will give a presentation on the IEP process--still have a lot of preparation to do for that.

Welcome to all.

Marcia
