Guest guest
Casey, I would love to meet you in April. I'm an 'at home' mom for now so I'm fairly flexible too. I have a sitter for several hours most days of the week, so we could meet up with you if Vashon is too out of the way. My brother lives in Kirkland also, although his home isn't quite conducive to a gathering spot. - -----Original Message-----From: stephaniesmom200@... I think we will be there from Wed (the 9th?) until mid day on Sat. the 12th. We will be staying in Kirkland, but be fairly mobile. It would be fun to get together with as many families as can gather. Anyone else going to be around that week? Casey, mom to (DS) and , 3 http://DSyndrome.com/Multiples

Guest guest
Hi , Casey, Diane, and , I'm one of the two Oregon Mom's on the list. Let me know the date you choose, for a possible camping gathering on Vashon Island--We have plans to travel to Canada via Yellowstone, the first week in July, but the last two weeks of June could work or the third week in July. I would be the Mom with the "old" twins--(They are 8, now), but I would love to meet all of you and your children and see Casey and and , again. Guest guest
Hi Diane, It's great to have you posting, again. You must be sooo busy with 4 children. A get-together, this summer, would be lots of fun--we would do our best to make it, if something is planned. Regarding potty training. First of all, I remember thinking that Sara would "never" be potty-trained. I had tried different approaches since she was three, never being extremely fanatical about it. What finally worked for Sara was when she was six and in Kindergarten. Her teacher and aide put her on a schedule and encouraged me to keep it up after school. She was in all-day kindergarten at that point, so they took her about 4 times during the school schedule and then I did my best to keep it up after school. Anyway, my memory kind of fails me, but it seems like the combination of her being ready and the schedule made potty-training very successful, quickly--even the night-time thing was successful all at once. Hang in there, because, now, it seems like Sara has been potty-trained forever; although, we still have to remind about wiping, flushing and washing hands--she's on the speed plan, get in, get it over with and get out. Keep in touch with us! If you have any other specific questions, let me know. Marcia Mom to Sara (DS) and 8 and Lucas
Guest guest
Hey Marcia, I hope you can make it when we plan a get together. I remember following your posts because your twins are just a little over a year and a half older than and and my older son Adam who is 11 would be a great match up for your son Lucas. Hey do you have any words of wisdom about potty training? is doing pretty good, but we are still at the phase where if I don't make sure and take her to the potty she will have an accident....any advice would be great. Guest guest
Char, What part of Washington do you live in? How old are your twins now? Guest guest
Marcia, Thanks for the advice on potty training. does a great at school. She is wearing undies and staying dry and added bonus she has not pooped in her pants for over a year. It's the at home part that she tends to get lazy about. I will take your advice and work on a schedule. Did you use PEC symbols with or just have a schedule board up? The big thing is getting to tell me she has to go. She is a real stinker in that department. She would rather we all guess at what she needs or wants rather than tell us!! is in Kindergarten this year but only a half day. How did you manage to get in a full day program? We have been trying with because she responds so well to the structure of school. She has been in a half day program in the school district since she was three in the preschool. This is her fourth year of half day and it just seems she would benefit more from a full day and physically she is ready too. OUr district claims that it is there policy to only have kindergartners in for half a day. Seems that they would have an exception to special needs kiddos. Thanks for your advice. You may be my new mentor! Diane - -- In Multiples-DS , Rrietmann@a... wrote: > Hi Diane, > > It's great to have you posting, again. You must be sooo busy with 4 > children.
