Guest guest
Kay - Believe it or not, I saw a paperback version of " My Sister is Special " at the grocery store not too long ago!! (Looks like found you some good links though). I had a chance to look at the book " My Friend Isabelle " this past weekend. It's a sweet book! Isabelle has DS but that issue is not really discussed. It's more about one child comparing things they can do to what Isabelle can do. Some things he can do better, some things Isabelle can do better, and the things they do the same. At the end they talk about how these differences are what makes them both special. I thought it was a sweet story, very simple, and gives a great message. Sandy - Sounds like you are doing books similar to the " Russ " books. We have a couple of them (Russ and the almost perfect Day, Russ and the firehouse). It's a story about a little boy named Russ and his adventures. Russ has DS and they use photographs of him to illustrate the story. Woodbine House sells all these books: http://woodbinehouse.com/404_search_result.asp?PAGE=1 & txtsearchParamTxt=Down Judi - Mom to Sam & , Almost 7!
