Dear Friends and Colleagues,Are your writing a  book about your work as a healer or any kind or teacher?I'm seeking three or four other healer/educator/writers in the NYC area involved in writing a book about their work. (Not necessarily women, just people committed to writing and publishing a book and able to make a stable commitment to other writers.)

I belong to a wonderful women's writing organization, but it is extremely memoir-oriented and isn't able to provide the kind of generative support I need at this point for a book in progress about my healing story work. I'm also writing a memoir, but I need to read this one, " Sacred Fire: A Write of Passage from Crisis to Wholeness " to professional colleagues who can get what I'm trying to do -- which is to integrate story structure, the hero's journey paradigm and archetypes, ksonian development theory, and writing/expressive arts exercises within a compelling read. It's a combination theory/workbook rising from my Write of Passage course. An ambitious project but achievable with right support.

I will be happy to host this group in my counseling office twice a month on Wednesday evenings (as equal member, not facilitator). I just need a few others to share their work and split the office rent with me. I envision each writer having at least 15 minutes for substantive reading and feedback and leaving with concrete next steps.

I would appreciate your forwarding this invitation to anyone you know who might be seeking this kind of group.Thanks!-- t Bruce, Ph.D.
