Guest guest
Hi I'm 51 I've had mild Fm syptoms since my late 20's with muscle spasms and " Charlie Horses " it didn't really hit me hard until my mid 30's so I've had it for 20 years, I had 1 remission that lasted nearly 5 years when I screwed it up with a Corti-steroid injection I allowed in my neck. It was followed a year later with surgery which caused a downhill sliide ....course at the time I hadn't been diagnosed with FM. I don't have any kids ..I have Great Danes instead when it started getting really hard to care for them I sought treatment ..I DON'T like or trust Doctors..Currently I'm on Skelaxin and Neurotin I depend heavily on Herbs and I use Homeopathy if I slip and inadvertly use something that contains Phos or Phos Acid. I joined Guai-support to see how it worked and if it was a viable option for me ...honestly what I've read scares me ..I've gotten rid of a lot of my " tie-ups " and trigger points and I don't want to do anything to cause them to reoccur LOL know what I mean? Boy I don't envy you 2 small children to keep up with.. I would love to keep in touch ...keep me informed about how your Guai xperience goes... Guest guest
Yes, I do too. :<( Hi Does anyone suffer from painful, aching, tight, uncomfortable legs. The back of my right knee is particularly bad, especially when bent. Thanks Peta
Guest guest
When I spend much time in my garden, the hamstring muscles in the backs of my thighs tend to get that fibromyalgia pain, but that is higher up than the back of the knee. Do you have arthritis in the knee? I have arthritis and fibromyalgia, but my arthritis is worst in my neck and second worse in my hip, especially the left one. After that, the arthritis is a problem in my hands and feet. My knees are a bit noisy when I climb or descend stairs, but they usually don't pain me much. I just had some time and checked out her blog and some articles she has written that are good and have nothing to do about AS. Just life in general. She writes with humor and love. Just me. Guest guest
Hi Matt - I am NT. I am going through a whole host of emotions right now as is many NT's who recently realize what their husbands have. To be clear, though, I want my marriage to work. I don't want to make my husband be who he is not - that is totally unfair. At the same time, there is some inherent lonliness in my marraige. I'm trying to find the balance. How important is it that my partner really acknowledge the AS? I know that classes/therapy doesn't change an AS person's make-up, but it seems to me that it would help in communication. We don't do church together or anything social - we don't do counseling - so a connection of some sort would be helpful. Working on that! Also am working on building my community up around me so I don't put unrealistic expectations on my mate. And there I am! Thanks, Matt. > > welcome aboard andrea, are you NT or AS? Where you from?
