Ok, guys, I need help. I can't believe this is even happening....last week

of school! The other day, we recd. a call from the assist. princ. saying that

touched another student on the bus. The bus monitor is 75 yrs. old and

is not physically able to care for these kids!!! She is the one who reported

it to the school when they got off the bus and went into school.

After dh talked to the AP, we didn't hear another word about it, except for

the bus monitor who said that the parent of the child touched was LIVID

and complained to the administration, school district, you name it. She can't

understand how a child like should be allowed to ride the bus with his

behaviors!!!! Say what???? ALL the children on the bus are spec ed, it goes

with the territory that something is bound to happen somewhere.

Just when I thought it was forgotten, I get a call today, saying they set up

an ARD meeting for next week!!!!! WHY are they even addressing this as sexual

assault???? 's on a TWO YEAR OLD LEVEL, would this even come up if he

were two yrs. old and touched someone at a daycare????

Please advise me on what to say, as I don't want this on 's record. I

don't want him labelled!!!! His report card had " inappropriate touching " and it

never called for a meeting. I think the SD is scared because this parent

raised such a fuss and they are forced to do something about it.

Thanks for any input.

Hi ,

It seems that it never ends with these kids at times. I had a similiar

incident with Zeb in 1st grade. The teacher made an issue about being touched

inapproprately. I was so p-------. I asked what the teacher had on, the answer

was a

silky blouse. I chewed her head off. Was touching a fabric that he

liked? I would guess he was. I would ask the school where the adult supervision

was? Put the problem in the school's lap not yours. They are responsible to

provide appropriate supervision to and from and in school. I would ask to see

the

written report from the aide. If there is no written incident report, get up

and leave. I hope you can get this resolved. I am about sick of school myself

even though Zeb had a good year.

ive prabably missed your meeting for any help im sure gail and charlene and

irma can help they are all wise in school legistics. What a parent that child

must have i mean duh. I think i would get statements from his docs and most

current cognitve evals showing his level of functioning thus priving he didnt

mean anything by it, anyways all toddlers go through an explore phase that is

probably all it was if he functions at this level. prayers things go/went well.
