Guest guest
WOW! Pam! Sounds exciting for you and the girls! But hard to leave your boys behind. I'm very happy to hear of your upcoming nuptials!!! Congratulations! I've been in a slump and why I haven't written in. My Father passed away April 19th, after lots of complications.....he was 74. It was just soo sad..........my Mom has been gone 20 years this August. So at the ripe age of 42, I'm orphaned. Most of my friends, all have their parents, even my husband. I'm mad my kids won't know my parents, just my in-laws. Anyway, tomorrow is Jillian's First Holy Communion day, and I'm positive I'll be crying the entire Mass because my Father won't be there. He was very religious, and was very proud on Bobby's Communion day! I was at the rehearsal yesterday and cried evry time the kids sang!!!!!!I hate crying, but find myself crying alot lately......probably entering menapause too!!!!!!!!Lucky me! Oh well, enough of me " crying the blues " to you well meaning ladies, I have to start cleaning the house!!! Thanks and Happy Mother's Day to all of US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Gail, I am so sorry about your Father's passing. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Be gentle on yourself--it is very difficult to lose someone you love so much and very healthy to go through the grieving process. You are all in my thoughts and prayers--Your Dad sounds like he was a wonderful man. Congratulations to Jillian as she receivies her First Holy Communion. Sara received her First Holy Communion, last Sunday. It was one of the most special days I have experienced. Our Parish is small (180 families), so she happened to be the only 2nd grader, this year; thus the only one making her First Communion. I decided to go all out on a dress for her--a special dress and veil ordered from New York--it was beautiful! I was nervous, because she is sometimes just a little unpredictable, but she was on her best behavior and really seemed to understand that it was her day to shine. She has won the hearts of many in our church, so some of the sweet little ladies were in tears--I made it through--it wasn't until the next day, thinking about the whole experience, brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for sharing with us Gail..take care and keep in touch, and I know Jillian's Day will be as special as Sara's was. Guest guest
Pam, How nice for all of you! Best wishes and have a safe move, with a very quick settling in time. Gail :-) Hi Everyone, I have made a major decision in my life and am moving to Michigan. I have lived in Tennessee with my family all my life so this is going to be hard but is the right thing to do. I am getting married and my new hisband to be is from Southeastern Michigan. I will be leaving my two sons behind which is going to be really hard. Anyways, I need to know if anyone lives in Michigan and can tell me something about how the Medicaid is? Special Ed servces?? Do they have a health insurance program for adults without insurance? Here in Tennessee we have a program called Tenn Care.....for people who can't afford their own insurance or cannot get it through there employer. I have Tenn Care now so if Michigan doesn't have anything I will be at a lost. The twins will automatically quaulify for medicaid right?? I will be living in Livingston County in the town Whitmore Lake. If anyone lives in MI. I would aprreciate any inforamation you have for me concerning....SSI, health insurance, services for the twins and the school districts. I hope everyone is doing well and stay safe. Love to all, Pam soon to be not a single Mom to Hannah (DS) and (DS-ASD) age 8, Josh 23 and Dusty soon to be
Guest guest
Hi Gail! I'm so very sorry to hear of your father's passing. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. When my grandmother passed away July 16th 1999 when my oldest daughter was only 1 1/2 I made a scrapbook about her. I really did it for myself since I was so close to her. My parents were divorced and I grew up living right next door to my grandparents so I was with them a lot. I got out lots of pictures of her and just made a simple scrapbook and when I'm feeling blue or even when I'm happy I take it out and look at it. My daugher still mentions her and askes questions and prays for her and I believe it's because the scrapbook is around. Happy Mother's Day and hang in there.
