According to ancient yogic philosophy, at the core of each of us spin 7 wheel-like energy centers called chakras. These wheels of energy are not physical entities, but rather centers of activity for the reception, assimilation, and transmission of life force that create physical, mental, and emotional patterns which impact every aspect of human experience. In this practice, participants are invited to move from and with each of these 7 energetics. Inspired by a dynamic mix of global and contemporary music, students are encouraged to encounter, experience, and explore themselves in order to discover their own authentic dance. The class is fun, therapeutic, and spiritual. The Moving Energy Workshop will begin with a brief introduction to the work, a Moving Energy class, and a closing question & answer, and discussion period. About the Presenter: MeriLynn Blum, MA, MAT, RYT has a background and training in dance, yoga, and psychology. She has taught classes, workshops, and private students for over 15 years and remains a continuing student herself, benefitting from the wisdom of numerous teachers, healers, and traditions. Her heartfelt mission is to joyfully offer the means by which her students can encounter and embrace the healing, wholeness and holiness of their being, and to experience greater health, compassion, love, wisdom, and peace. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Note: Participants will receive CE hours for attending the workshop.
