Guest guest
HI all, I hope everyone had a good weekend. This morning, Layne came to church with me. (Amy works nights on the weekend, so she needed to get some sleep). There was a pancake breakfast and he loves pancakes. So, we got there at 9:15, and he did great! He had met some of the people before, but most were new to him. (It is a small congregation). The amazing part is..there was a 3 yr old little girl there, and after breakfast Layne wanted to play ring around the rosy, so I asked Cassie if she would like to play with us, and Layne took her hand, and she played, too. He never interacts with other kids, he is content at the playground to sit in the woodchips and cover himself with them During the service, he sat on the floor in front of me, and then, went down to the end of the pew, where some friends of mine were sitting (he hadn't met them before). He climbed up into Judy's lap, and spent most of the service sitting with her! I did have to take him out to the foyer during the sermon, as he was getting a little loud, and Cassie was out there with her grandma. Layne and her had a blast folding and unfolding the doormat. We were there till about 12:30, and he did so good. I am really proud of him. and Amy, moms to Layne 5 (ds-asd) and Greg 10 (adhd)
Guest guest
Wow, that's great! We usually split up for church because Seth doesn't do well. I take that back, he does do well, but completely tires me out to get him to do well ! :-) Nice you were surrounded by friends. That sure helps a lot. Hope you have many more good days.
