Guest guest
Well, that subject line looks funny. Anyway, I totally agree with Dee. I've had this stupid disease for way too long now. Diagnosed 6 years ago and have had it about 16 years. Only recently I went to a Holistic doctor starting in December I believe. She put me on a very strict diet. And I hate to say but chocolate is a big no-no. She mentioned these chocolate bits that are pure chocolate bean that you suck on that can make the craving go away. I didn't try that but did quit eating and drinking chocolate. It takes a few weeks for it all to make a big difference. My headaches were less often and way less intense. I had a lot less pain. I won't lie and say I got completely better but life was definitely more doable. No sugar, no chocolate, no coffee, no sodas, no preservatives, no hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup, no white breads or rice or any overly treated grains. What I can have are vegetables, mostly slightly steamed for stomach reasons, (but no nightshades), I can have eggs and cheese, I can eat fruit and starch as long as they are not processed and are whole, the way our bodies are designed to process them. I can say all this sincerely because my bad habits slowly came back then came back dramatically. I was so bad the last few days! I've been in such horrible pain that I've also had seizures really bad. I also had a horrible headache for a few days, a Fibro headache that triggered a migraine that lasted 3 days. Good-grief! The main culprit is CHOCOLATE. :-( NOOOOO!!! So, I shall slowly then quickly get back on that yucky diet (well, it starts out yucky because I have to cook when I'm in pain and so tired). It doesn't help with energy but I think that if I can get myself to be able to take enough vitamins on a regular basis without it hurting my stomach; that will help. It doesn't help the depression and I'm far from normal but it's just so much better than it was.when I was faithfully on this diet. It's just too bad that it takes a few weeks for the toxins to fully leave the body. That means only one little sweet wonderful thing one time every other week. :-( Life ain't easy! Hugs a bunch, Jane Hi Joanna, What works best is a healthy diet - no (low) sugar... I eat very little starch also. Dee > > I was diagnosed a year and a half ago.
