Guest guest
That is so funny about covering his ears when he hears the Birthday song. Hannah does the same thing and often cries - I just thought it was a girl thing being sensitive about getting older you know? FINALLY, last year we were able to sing it to her...though only in a whisper!!! Imagine our HUGE family (there's 25 cousins on the Duffey side ALONE.....12 on mine) whisper/singing Happy b-day. Boy, did we laugh afterwards!!!!! Donna
Guest guest
This is actually a HUGE step for Nicolas. He has always hated the birthday song, so when we took him to a birthday party for a little 3-year-old friend last week we were amazed that he sat through the whole song without covering his ears. Over the last week or so we've tested it a few times, now he loves it and even pretends to blow out candles at the end. He makes this Huh Huh sound... It's amazing how these seemingly little things are such big moments in our lives. I never thought singing the birthday song to my son would bring me to tears, but it does and probably will from now on.
