Guest guest
wel he has off and on been a groper then this last summer he started getting his body hair not long after turning 12, then it started becoming an issue everywhere he would right ther ein class and ofcourse he is in the 5th again not over at the middle school and he would have a big ....... and the teachers were unsure what to to or how to deal with and we were having similair problems at home, it embarressed us more than him, i think, especially when i had him at a concert and the teen girls as usual always around him they always think he is sooo cute, i pulled his thankfully long shirt down over his privates i didnt want them to see this. Remember puberty hits at different ages for everybody and by no means is he ready for sex ed, just strating to understand private and public. shawna A guy-thing question > > > > Hi Friends- > > > > This is a question to parents of boys, esp. teens and older. > How > > have you dealt effectively with keeping hands out of the > pants? Guest guest
for nathan we have ben teaching that is to be done in the bathroom or his bedroom, where its private, we dont limit access for him that may make him think about it more, lol. At school they have been promoting it to be done at home, in his room or bathroom wich has tremendously cut down on the groping at school and at home. I know our docs said that he needs to be show how to use it correctly but hubby isnt up to such a task, he feels he does just fine on his own and will figure out what he needs to do. We keep enforcing the private and public etc. shawna. A guy-thing question > Hi Friends- > > This is a question to parents of boys, esp. teens and older. Guest guest
Hi Friends- This is a question to parents of boys, esp. teens and older. How have you dealt effectively with keeping hands out of the pants? This had not been an issue at school, and Pete has been very good and in fact down right private at home, but I can see things are gaining momentum at school. Even though it now means he needs help in the restroom, we have been putting a belt on and buckling it in the back. Somehow, he has managed to wiggle down elasticized waist pants, but we made the belt tighter. Now he is managing to still wiggle his hand in there. If I send him in snap or button pants, such as jeans, I still put the belt on backwards but half the time his belly gets so much bigger during the day that they are uncomfortable. (He can't unzip a fly -yet.) Aside from verbal prompts to keep his hands on xyz instead, (if he is in a yelling moment everything can get unraveling-) I just talked to the teacher about increasing his access to fidget toys, or perhaps tell him to brush himself. (He is on a sensory diet.) I think that sometimes application of some kind of sensory input can take his mind off of that ultimate sensory moment... Another suggestion we had been given a while back was to have him wear biker shorts under his pants. Has anyone done anything like this? Any success? drawbacks? (SIGH. I can see going to the bathroom is going to require more hands on assistance. There never seems to be a middle ground with these things.) He'd have overalls down in two seconds flat. Also, the incident today occurred AFTER a brisk walk outside. Anything we missed? Thanks! Guest guest
At what age did this start? When did they start showing an interest? 's 13 and hasn't got any ideas. I wonder if we should talk to him about it, but don't want to plant the seed, so to speak!
