Guest guest
Laurie, We tried for a veil bed through Medicaid, but no go. They said they didn't approve them for safety, just for medical. We got funding to redo Seth's room so it's safe for him while he's awake nights, and we're SLEEPING. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, My oldest son was a monkey. At six mos.old he scaled the crib and fractured his skull. My dh took the hardware off of the crib legs and moved them to the end of the leg. The mattress was so low I used a chair to get him out. As he got older I tied a net over the top. It's a quick fix until you can possible get a vail bed. Charlyne Mom to Zeb 11 DS/OCD

I think it depends on the way it is written up and the state you are in. Another option- I have an acquaintance who bought a wood bunk bed set and a friend put a gate type thing on the front, and a back on it. For a little guy like Mic I would make very sure that the openings are no bigger than on a crib. Good luck with your little Houdini, Karyn

Maddie climbed out of her crib all the time, but she's so adept at climbing that she never got hurt. We kept her in a crib til she was 5 and then we bought a sleigh bed at Pottery Barn. That way she still feels kind of encased. Hope you figure something out Laurie. Do you have carpeting, so at least something to break the fall until you come up with a better idea? Guest guest
My neighbor kept her youngest daughter in a crib till she was 1 1/2. Anyhow when she started climbing out of her crib, the parents took the front bed crib off. Even thought when they took it off she had trouble going to sleep, and would wake up in the middle of the night since she could get on and off her crib.
