Oh I'm sorry Donna. It is good that you found out though. Would it be a

good thing if one of the meds was making it worse? Can you just change the med

then and have improvement?

Gail :-)

Not good news on the endoscopy results. Doc started off his conversation

saying, " I'm really glad we decided to do this " . Maddie's esophagus is

still very inflamed. So he wants to try a stronger med. I forget what

it's

called...I think he said it begins with a C. I have to write to Dr. Capone

and

make sure there are no contraindications with the behavior meds she is

already on. I also read where certain meds can make GERD worse, so I have

to find

out if the risperdal and abilify are on that list.

UGH...AND he wants to go back in in 3 to 4 months...here we go again!!!!!

You said the new med started with a " c " ? Could it be Carafate? (sp?)

Terry

For the life of me I can't remember TErry. I just know he said it was new.

I went to a couple GERD sites to try and spark my memory, but no luck. I

will write to Dr. CApone and see if he can name it for me.

Thanks,

Donna

I suppose Gail. The problem is that the only way to tell if things are

getting better is to do an endoscopy, since Maddie can't tell us. Gosh, all

the

technology we have in this world and we can't see inside without doing

invasive techniques. Sheesh!!!
