Guest guest
I would use Elmers white glue. It dries clear, but easier to see then clear when applying and is good for this task. Tacky glue is often very difficult to get out of the bottle, especially for the elderly. Mod podge can be difficult to work with unless you have a dispenser, and also can have odd odors. Other glues also have odd odors, like "yes" paste. Hot glue burns and even if you substitute warm glue for hot glue, you have to work very fast. There is a website http://www.thistothat.com/ that gives glue advice, though there is nothing for yarn. But it is nice to know about. hope this helps, Kathy > > > > > > > Hpw about putting the Aileens into a more airtight container for her? > > > > > > > > > > Reply-To: <NYCCAT > > > Date: Tue, 19 Apr 2011 20:22:36 -0400 > > To: NYCCAT <NYCCAT >, NYATA <NYATA > > > Subject: glue question > > > > > > > > > > > > > > hello > > is there a glue that dries clear & doesn't shrink? > > one of my elderly residents is doing some yarn art, > > gluing yarn strands next to each other onto cardboard, > > and i'm looking for a better glue for her. > > > > currently she's using clear elmer's. > > i don't want to give her aileen's because to me the glue in the container > > dries out too easily. > > any suggestions, i'd really appreciate it! > > thanks! > > pat brown > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
