Dear Creative Arts Community,

With a 20-year experience in self-portraiture as a sort of

self-therapy, I am an artist-facilitator using my own unique method

with adolescents, children, and adults (in therapeutic contexts and in

corporate training).

I teach my empowering method of self-portraiture in Italy (Forma

www.formafoto.it , Domus Academy, University of Bologna), Finland

(University of Turku for therapists, Turku Academy of Arts, Tampere

University Hospital for child psychiatrists), and Spain (for teenagers

at CityLab, Cornella).

method, biography, references and the Blog, with many interesting

articles on self-portraiture as a powerful tool for self-therapy.

I believe the photo-self-portrait can portray our higher self. It is

the only possible image of the creator of the image (and his gaze), in

the precise moment of creation. The method is incredibly useful with

children and adolescents, and for people with eating disorders.

It is quick, but the works of art (everybody is able to produce one

with this method, without any expertise in photography) will continue

to send positive messages and accompany the author throughout his/her

life.

I'm also using the method in my private practice with individuals and

in corporate training (seewww.self-portrait.eu/performance).

I'll be in New York City and on March 7-8 I am presenting the method

to therapists at the Arts in Psychotherapy. The workshop cost is $175

for professionals and $125 for full time students for 1 1/2 days. You

will learn the technique to use with yourself and your clients, take

home several self-portraits, and be able to continue the dialogue and

questions with me via email.
