Guest guest Posted June 9, 2001 Report Share Posted June 9, 2001 My son has been approved for a transplant and I was just approved as his donor. We are scheduled for surgery on July 17. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone with experience as a donor, especially with the laproscopic procedure for removing the kidney. Also does anyone know what the current thinking is about transplantation of bone marrow at the same time to reduce chance of rejection?
