Is SUPER sensitive to meds? I cannot take SSRI's for one as I get all the weird

feelings/side effects. I tried some natural stuff for Fibro and ended up with an

itchy throat. Something has got to give!

Do you even need an SSRI for your Fibro?

Do you have depression, panic/anxiety, obsession/compulsion, and

procrastination, and if so,

did they come with the Fibro?

Then an SSRI med, taken at night, may be worth trying again. Maybe you were

getting too much, or the

wrong brand. I have used Paxil at night for over 7 years. Works perfectly for

me. But have not been

able to find a generic that works at all. We don't know why.

I am finding that topical meds are much easier on me than capsules, also because

of throat issues.

It takes such a large amount of Guaifenesin capsules for me every day, but much

less quantity as a topical.

Also my body does not have to digest and excrete the meds. Much better and much

less expensive. Saves so

much time from not having to pack the capsules, too. Even the cost of the empty

capsules and shipping.

Glad to help with info on this.

HELLO!

Iam So sensitive to ALL kinds of medications. It seems the worst for me is any

kind of antidepressant. I have tried so many, to give a try at least, and they

all do the same to me. Make me feel like ****!!!! They make me feel like my head

is spinning and I make terrible decisions. I am moody and sick too! Anyway, I

think I get all the symptoms possible, but all the doctors tell me is, " Give it

2 weeks, and your body will get adjusted to it "

Yes! This is there way of saying, they do not understand how to take care of me.

I guess I stand out because I have fibro. I hate being a Fibro patient, the

doctors basically use meds to TEST you on, because they just do not know.....

I explain to them, how much this takes over my life, how I just cannot function

because how bad I feel everyday single day of my life..... They look at me weird

like Iam lying to them, just because iam young.. they think Iam lying. Argh!!!

Thank you Anne, for all the good info on the SSRI/Fibro TIPS. Greatly

appreciated! I will try the Paxil again, and this time, with not the Generic

Brand. Thanks!

You're very welcome.

Test your Saliva pH. It's the most important guide for FMS.

We're trying really hard to get this free info out to people but there's

a lot of money being made off of Fibro now and some people will do or say

anything to keep it that way.

Any intelligent person can read all of the FibroFix site and know that we are

just telling it like it is.

The majority of Fibros have low Saliva pH. (very acidy). The body needs to be

about 7.4 for

the liver to be able to produce critical chemicals - enzymes, etc - that tell

the rest of the body what

to do.

The test will tell you where you stand; you can also use it to monitor it over

time. Very easy and cheap to do.

You can do it yourself very quick and cheap.

Most don't keep pH test paper on hand.

Very inexpensive at a local health food store. About $13 and

will do up to 300 tests.

Call around, though, don't drive around. Not all of them carry it.

Some think it's only for urine pH (we don't test that) but the

paper is the same.

Call me any time if you have questions, too. .

I can hang up call right back so it doesn't cost you. Hard to email if you are

at the store and not the computer and have a question.

(smile)

Anddrew,

Thank you for your understanding. I really appreciate it! Your a male, right? If

so, Glad to hear we have a man on here too, that can relate. NOT that Iam happy

you are feeling Pain, but just happy you made your way here. LOL. Anyway, thanks

so much for understanding and posting to me. I agree with you, nobody else will

understand. I cannot find a doctor that I like, because they all look at me like

I am a hypercondreact. (sp) Shoot, I cant even spell the word, let alone live

the word!

Thank you again, I truly understand what you are feeling and am here as a

listening ear, whenever you need! HUGS!
