Guest guest
Hi, Everyone....a...for what's it worth, Gareth was just as bad at that age. Our problem with him was his insistence on darting INTO every house. He'd weasle his wrist away from us so fast. So many times we'd have to run in after him.....apologizing the whole time. He had to be picked up and carried most of the evening....it really wasn't worth it!!! Take care, Everyone. Margaret

Guest guest
Hi a, Below Zero, burr. I hate cold weather but mostly the heating bills. Zeb is very easy on clothes but is growing out of everything so fast. At least all the winter coats are on clearence now. We can take advantage of the sales. Our kids are the kids that need school the most. I have great issues with this. Charlyne Mom to Zeb 11 DS/OCD
Guest guest
Hi a, LOL I know exactly what you mean!! " dumps " 4-6 days worth of poop all at once. I just keep flushing so it doesn't back up all at once. The Miralax has made it soft and considerably easier for him to pass although it is still traumatic every time! For , it's a matter of " starting " the bowel contractions. Once they start, it's almost like vomiting, it all comes out in a hurry and is really hard on him. It's getting the contractions to start that is the really hard part! Terry
Guest guest
Hi a, If you feel the goals are realistic then leave them as is. Giving the teacher better strategies is a wonderful idea. Why is the teacher just asking you now, school is half over. I suppose better late than never. Charlyne Mom to Zeb 11 DS/OCD

Guest guest
Hi a, I know its your b-day around the corner, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Prayers at the state's game & CONGRATUALTIONS on first place. GO NATHAN!!!!!! hugs! Irma,15,Ds/ASD N/A hey guys, sorry i havent been on but my computer has been on the fritz, and then my outlook express wont work over last week or so, but i figured out how to access via my web mail so catching up. did great at special olympics he got a 1st place how i dont know, must have been in a catagory al lby him self, lol. he didnt even dribble, it was sooo funny he got the ball from the volunteer and just hung on to it and ran to the next set of cones, wish i had a working video camera for that one, lol. He and everyone but one on his team got blues we all get to go to iowa city for state next month. Pray that he has fun and tries his best. I see i have missed loads over last couple weeks. Many many prayers for little mic, rain gotta stop sometime, give him a big hug form us too! a belated happy birthday to trisha i see too. And i hope steven is doing much better after his ER visit. a big WELCOME to all the newbies. I seen someone has been sick lots lately sorry i dont remember the name, nathan will do this in spurts too one mainly has to just ride it out i think. has the brr cold to put up with id love to have that warm weather, lol, and he has many allergies and resistances to antibiotics so we rarely use antibiotics anymore unless something serious as strep etc, or when he continuly runs elevated temps, with all the usual symptoms. I found one thing that has helped lessen his ill time is a suction machine, we have a peds nasal canula on end and it sucks his nose and his mouth, lol its a nthan thing for that drool i guess, actually helping clear out them sinuses since he doesnt or cant blow his nose, he loves it i showed him how to use it, and he will and go whew 'that better " before he would be sick for months on end cause all that mucus would stay in there causing more and more infx, they would have to do surgery and suction and flush with saline etc so his membranes could heal. I cant garentee its the answer but may be worth checking into. shawna -- Sent using goldfieldaccess.net Webmail

I don't think I could have handled another bad year. I would have needed the drugs. Zeb has a wonderful attorney. He will have this attorney with him for the rest of his school years. She is alo a Mom with a DS child. Since Zeb's arrest last year the CDSC was sent an anonymous and very generous donation for his legal defense fund. The district has also retrained all school personnel and has changed and improved all programs. The state sped dept is watching them very closely. The newspaper article was published in one of the state's larger newspapers. The impact of the article is still causing waves in the sped community. It changed Zeb's life.
