Donna-

Well, we woke up to pouring down rain, lightening and thunder. We seem to be a

fish story above you...our rain is forecasted Sunday-Friday. One station said

cloudy but no rain on Tuesday, another said 30 percent chance even on Tuesday.

There is so much flooding around the place that any more rain isn't welcome.

Whattya do though!

We are thankful we live on a hill. No worries here.

At one point yesterday I heard the temperature was 89 degrees with a heat index

of 95. That was early on in the day. You are right, perfect weather to have

severe storms.

We haven't had to go to the basement but I think I will look for Courage down

there. :-)) We have lost power a couple times. Last time was for 2 or 3

hours.

All the best to you in Michigan. I saw on the news there were storms that did

some damage. These storms don't seem to be isolated but travel in a long line

stretching through many states at once. Last weeks stretched from parts of

Texas through Minnesota...course right through Iowa.

Take care Donna. Return hugs-

Sandie,

We are suppose to get it again tomorrow. We haven't had sirens yet. Just the

announcement on TV of warnings. I had to laugh at 's question about

willl the sirens shut off.

The weather seems to be hitting the top of the Mi even more than down here in

the south. We had some gentle rain after about half hour of it blowing through.

I think from now until Wed. it is suppose to rain except for Tues. We haven't

had lots of rain. Just enough. It is the humidity and the hot and that can

call up that bad stuff.

I don't mind being in the basement. I don't like losing power. And that hasn't

happen yet either.

Keep safe.

Hugs,

Re: June C.- severe weather OT

June-

Apparently the storm front is heading toward Des Moines. It is moving at 66 MPH

and is a long

storm line. I hear through our weather guys that we are at a high risk of

severe storms and tornadoes. Tornadoes have been spotted to our SE in Iowa.

I am going to shut off the computer so if the power goes out, the computer

won't be harmed.

Stay safe June.

They have indicated we probably won't have a tornado here but very strong winds

to hit shortly, about 9 p.m. However, they say it's not impossible that one will

drop down. How far northeast of Brown County, KS (the farthest NE county in

Kansas) are you? They are in the midst of it now and have spotted some tornados,

but nothing on the ground I don't think.

Hope you get some sleep.
