Since the current topic is about Sleep Apnea, tonsils and adnoids, I thought I would let you all know that this topic will be covered at IMDSA's conference in Orlando! Dr. Sally Shott will be presenting! Topic: Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Ear, Nose and Throat Problems seen in Down Syndrome ABSTRACT OF PRESENTATION: This session will review the various ear, nose, and throat (ENT) problems seen in children with Down syndrome. This includes problems with chronic ear infections and hearing loss, sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, and chronic nasal drainage and sinusitis. OBJECTIVES FOR PRESENTATION : At the end of this presentation, the participants should: 1. Have a better understanding of the most common ear, nose and throat problems seen in children and adults with Down syndrome, including ear infections and hearing loss, sleep disorders and sinus problems. 2. Have an understanding of current treatment options 3.
